Lighting in Interior Design

Lighting is a key element in setting the mood of a space, whether it’s dark and romantic or bright and inviting. Your window coverings can affect the mood of a room by controlling the amount of sunlight allowed in, but you’re probably wondering which mood you want to set in a room, and how to do it.

“Indirect daylight reduces glare and heat gain. Direct sun should only be allowed in a window to heat up the space or as a special effect” is the general rule laid out in the article “Interior Lighting Design for Buildings”, but there are so many variations of lighting you can create and effects you can achieve with the addition of curtains and artificial light. You can find out more information on how to light your home or business here.
